Bert Van Camp joins Ace Law

Ace Law is delighted to announce Bert Van Camp as its newest Ace.

Bert has over 15 years of experience in capital markets, acquisition finance and corporate M&A work. Recently, Bert has become a well-respected specialist in W&I insurance. Having worked on both sides of the lawyer-client relationship, Bert’s insights are invaluable in our constant focus on excellent legal client services.

Bert will join the team as of 1 January 2021.

About Bert: Bert is currently still active as senior M&A and Transactions broker at AON. In his role at AON he became a pre-eminent specialist in W&I Insurance. Before joining AON, Bert was a counsel at a top-tier Belgian law firm where his focus was on private equity and capital markets transactions. Before that, Bert held several legal positions at KBC Group including senior advisor Corporate M&A. In such capacity he was responsible for the legal aspects of, amongst others, the sale of Centea to Landbouwkrediet and the sale of Fidea to J.C. Flowers & Co.

The Ace Law team:It is an absolute privilege to welcome Bert to our project, both on a professional and personal level. Convincing such a well-respected and knowledgeable finance and M&A expert to re-join a law firm, is further proof that our project is truly innovative and forward-looking. Many thanks to AON for facilitating his transfer in such a smooth manner. Looking forward to 2021 to launch Ace Digital with Mike and Bert onboard.”

Bert:I am honoured and thrilled to have been granted the opportunity to join such a group of talented business lawyers and like-minded people. I am looking forward to working together with my fellow Aces in providing legal services to our clients in a new, client-centric and digitally embraced way. Joining Ace Law simultaneously feels like the adventure of a lifetime and coming home. I would also like to extend my gratitude to Aon for the professional cooperation from start to finish and I wish all my former Aon-colleagues all the best, both professionally and personally.”
