Olivier Voordeckers
Olivier is a regulatory consultant supporting Ace in the structuring of investment funds and advising on regulatory questions related to private equity transactions. Being specialised in prudential banking regulation and investment funds law, he also has profound knowledge of payment services law, anti-money laundering regulation and data protection.
Olivier is a graduate of the University of Namur (2013) and of the University of Luxembourg, where he majored in investment funds law (LL.M., 2015). He holds a PhD in banking regulation from the same university (2020).
Prior to joining Ace Law, Olivier worked for a Belgian fintech start-up where he was responsible for the compliance and risk management function. He also held academic positions at the University of Leuven (senior research collaborator, Jan Ronse Institute for Company and Financial Law) and the University of Hasselt (Guest Professor in business and corporate law).
